The Galaagos M/Y Humbolt Explorer is a First Class Galapagos Island charter yacht.

For diving in Galapagos, we have all cabins with windows, air-conditioning and a private bathroom. The yacht features wide sun-decks, a teak sundeck, Jacuzzi, wet bar,BBQ grill and comfortable dining / lounge areas.

Accomodation : 8 Double cabins with private baths. Air-conditioned cabins with hot shower.

  • Capacity: 16 divers and 7 crew.

    For diving in Galapagos, this yacht is Equipped with 2 GPS Satellite positioning systems, 2 Radar (24, 40 miles), Sonar,VHF, SSB radio-communications, EPIRB,

  • Fire alarm sensors and fire extinguishing systems.

    First Aid and DAN oxygen equipment on board the main vessel as well as O2 kits on both inflatables.

  • 40 U.S.C.G. approved life jackets, two inflatable oceangoing 12 passenger life-raft and two 10 passenger inflatables.

  • Large professionally arranged dive-deck-platform, with fourty two 80 ft3 aluminum tanks. Individual preparation space and gear storage is assigned to each diver. Fresh water is plentiful on the dive platform for showers and rinse tanks for cleaning gear., a battery charging station and an outside head are also available.

  • Unlimited compressed air, weights and belts are provided.We carry 2 powerful BAUER K-14 electric air compressors for quick refills and a state of the art Nitrox filling station.

  • Rental diving equipment. Lounge area features a CD music system, as well as a NTSC 25" color TV-Monitor with VHS/DVD video system and plugs for viewing your daily videos or films from our video library.

  • Fresh water: 600/gal/day desalinization plant, 2,000 gallons storage.

  • Electric current 110/220 AC + 12V.

  • Digital photography and personalized video available.

    For the flights to Cristobal airport on Monday arriving you will be paying the park entrance fee, There is a check-out dive Monday afternoon near Cristobal, followed by a delicious dinner served by the onboard chef. Tuesday morning the Humbolt Explorer start sailing to the first of many excellent dives sites. Divers are awakened by a home-cooked breakfast.

  • guests flying from mainland Ecuador to Cristobal island, will arrive at noon, then divers are met at the Cristobal airport by the Humbolt Explorer crew and guide, taken to the vessel, for a delicious lunch on board, before departing to isla Lobos, a shallow isle to have a check up dive and a good Galapagos rules and regulations for the Galapagos National Park briefing

    • North Seymour 2 dives, Currents moderate to strong. Normally 30 ft. - 100 ft.
    • Afternoon land visit

    Day 3 Wednesday

    • Wolf Island, 2 divesRocks 1 to 3 knots 40 ft. - 90 ft
    • Afternoon 2 dives, Schooling Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks, Manta Rays, Galapagos Sharks, Eagle Rays, Green Turtles, Sea Lions, Fur Seals , whale sharks.

    Day 4 Thursday

    • Darwin Island 2 dives,
    • Afternoon 2 dives, Schooling Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks, Manta Rays, Galapagos Sharks, Eagle Rays, Green Turtles, Hawksbill Turtles, Whale Sharks

    Day 5 Friday

    • Darwin Island 2 dives,
    • Afternoon 2 dives, Schooling Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks, Manta Rays, Galapagos Sharks, Eagle Rays, Green Turtles, Hawksbill Turtles, Whale Sharks


    Day 6 Saturday

      • Cabo Marshal 2 dives.
      • Afternoon 2 dives, Hammerhead Sharks, Manta Rays, White Tipped Sharks, Galapagos Sharks,

    Day 7 Sunday

    Cousins rocks strong and medium current, 80 ft. dive,lunch and sail back to Santa Cruz island, to visit the giant tortoises up in the highlands and short visit ot the Puerto Ayora Town.

    Last Day 8 Monday

    early morning visit to the near beach, before departing to the airport for flight back to mainland Ecuador

    Diving in Galapagos, due to cooler water temperatures & strong currents, you need to be experienced, Galapagos diving is not at all suitable for novice divers.
